Augusta native and lifelong resident Miriam has been working hard on her sweat equity hours for a few months now. Always a pleasure to be around, she is a major asset to Habitat in both the ReStores and home building.
Miriam has three lovely children, all girls, aged 4, 12, and 15. She works at University Hospital doing 12 hour shifts. As if that isn’t enough, she gives back to the community as part of a ministry through song called Bless-Ed. They are based out of True Testament of Jesus Christ Church in Aiken, SC. She loves doing her sweat equity work and has learned so much. She says, “it has taught me so much and makes me feel so grateful and humble, it is a wonderful experience.” Working on house construction is preparing her to own her own home, something that will provide stability for her family. At the ReStores, she enjoys organizing things, a task that improves the customer experience at our stores.
