Augusta/CSRA Habitat builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Every day families work hard to earn a living yet struggle with shelter because of the high cost of a decent place to live, others live in substandard conditions because it is what they can afford. Habitat gives families (one family at a time) the opportunity to strengthen and stabilize their family by offering them a chance to purchase their own affordable home, a place to raise a family without worry.
Families have a mentor coach and attend financial and homeownership classes preparing for homeownership. Volunteers working alongside the future homeowners provide the labor force for home construction. Funding for the house construction is provided through donors like you, sponsors, and grants. The Habitat for Humanity model is a pay it forward program. Each family that purchases a low cost home is now paying a no-interest mortgage. The monthly mortgage payments become funds used to prepare future families and build future homes. Your donation helps now and in the future. Please click
